Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA, leaving behind your natural collagen.

However, you should not receive this treatment if you are pregnant or nursing, have a bleeding disorder, or have an allergy to lidocaine or any ingredients in this product. During your Radiesse® appointment, your injector will begin by cleansing the treatment area and applying a topical numbing cream to ensure you are comfortable. Then, Radiesse® will be skillfully injected into the targeted areas using a small needle. Treatment is fairly quick, usually lasting about 15 minutes.
Following your injections, you may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising, which will dissipate over the next few days. Makeup can be worn to cover up any bruising while your skin heals. There is typically no downtime required, which means you can return to your regular activities after treatment.
