During your Sculptra® treatment, topical numbing cream will be offered to ensure that you are comfortable during injections. Sculptra® will then be artfully injected within the deep dermis to help your body reproduce lost collagen. On average, individuals need 3 injection appointments over a few months for optimal results. Overall, treatment can take anywhere from 15-60 minutes, depending on the number of injections needed, which may vary depending on your desired results.
Most people can return to their regular activities right after Sculptra® injections, as there is no downtime required. Injection site swelling, bruising, itching, and tenderness may occur, though should dissipate over time. Applying cold compresses to the area and avoiding prolonged time in the sun can help to speed along your recovery. Results are gradual, so it may take a few weeks to see the full effects of your injections, and results can last up to 2 years.
